It has been announced that a sequel to the TV anime "The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP SEMIFINAL," based on the popular tennis manga "The New Prince of Tennis" by Konomi Takeshi, "The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP Final Member Deciding Match," will be broadcast in the fall of 2026. A teaser visual featuring Echizen Ryoma and Fuji Shusuke has also been released.
The sequel will depict the heated battle within the Japanese national team as they decide who will play in the U-17 World Cup final against Spain.
"The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP" is the first TV series in about 10 years since "The New Prince of Tennis" aired in 2012, and aired from July to September 2022. A sequel, "The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP SEMIFINAL," aired from October to December 2024, depicting the semi-final match between Japan and Germany.
"The Prince of Tennis" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1999 to 2008.
