To celebrate the release of the 27th and final volume of Yasuo Ohtagaki's manga Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt on December 19th, Shogakukan's web service Bikcomi launched a campaign on December 17th to make volumes 1 to 26 of the manga available for free. This campaign will be available for an unlimited period of 48 hours until the 18th.
"Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt" is a manga by Otagaki, who is also known for "MOONLIGHT MILE." It depicts the battle between the Earth Federation Forces and the Principality of Zeon in the Thunderbolt Sector during the One Year War, as well as the battle between the Zeon remnants, the Federation, and the South Seas Alliance after the war. It has been adapted into an anime and a plastic model kit, gaining popularity.
The series began serialization in "Big Comic Superior" (Shogakukan) in 2012, and aired its final episode in September of this year, bringing the series to a close after approximately 13 years of serialization.
