The NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , aired on December 7th. In the 47th episode, "Manju Scary," a conversation between Sadanobu (Inoue Yuki) and Tsutaju (Yokohama), who stopped by Koshodo before returning to their hometown, became a hot topic among viewers.
In episode 47, Sadanobu is cornered by Jisei (Toma Ikuta), who drove Osaki (Kurara Emi) to death with a poisoned bun. Tsutaju temporarily closes his shop, but when he visits Sadanobu, he proposes a surprising plan that involves Shogun Ienari (Kairi Jō). The plan is to have Jisei eat the poisoned bun instead.
The revenge plan is set in motion again, and when Ienari and Harusame arrive at the mansion of Shimizu Shigeyoshi (Ochiai Motoki), they succeed in making Harusame drink the "sleeping poison." Ienari returns to the castle with Saito Jurobei (played by Ikuta in a dual role), a Noh actor who looks identical to Harusame, and the real Harusame is sent to an isolated island in Awa.
Sadanobu stopped by Koshodo and explained to Tsutaju that, although he was a villain, he had still framed the Shogun's father, and that he felt he should be punished for treason, so he had decided to "follow the rules" and return to his home province. He then frankly praised Tsutaju's plan to win over the Shogun, calling it "excellent."
Sadanobu said that Koikawa Harumachi (played by Okayama Amane) was his "god" and described Koshodo as "a shrine where the gods gather." This is why he expressed regret that driving Harumachi to his death was the only mistake of his own making. Tsutaju also still feels responsible for Harumachi's death, and confesses that he set up Sharaku "to pray for the soul of Professor Harumachi." The two bid each other a sad farewell, remembering the late Harumachi.
Sadanobu bought a large number of old yellow-covered books published by Koshodo and did not forget to order them to continue sending letters to Shirakawa. He left Edo with a pleasant afterglow, but Haruka Ayase's narration also spoke about what happened to him afterwards, saying, "He also worked to promote culture and left his name in history as an otaku who combined both hard and soft sides."
On social media, comments were made about Sadanobu in the scene, such as "Etchu-no-kami goes on a pilgrimage to a sacred place. He looks so happy!", "Otaku Sadanobu stops by a bookstore he's always wanted to do," "He buys a lot of books, lol," and "Calling the author a god is what makes him a real otaku," as well as comments such as "Sadanobu was so cute, holding all the yellow-covered books while he talks, I know, that's what happens," "He was talking seriously, but his hands were flowing and he picked up all the yellow-covered books from one end to the other, it was so cute," and "Sadanobu, who is so hateful, made such an adorable exit!"
