Episode 8 tells the story of a serial murder case that begins with the digging up of a time capsule for the first time in 22 years. Takagi, Sonoko (Araki), and Koyama (Shintaro Morimoto) pursue the truth, with the help of Tsuchiya (Ayame Goriki) and Toyokawa (Inaba Yu). Takagi and his friends suddenly remember that there was another member among the group of six friends who are being targeted. When Takagi and his friends learn that this person, "Doctor" Mori Tomoya, holds a grudge against them, they head out to rescue Hatachi (Mori Yusaku), who has gone to meet Mori alone. However, they are unable to capture Mori, and Hatachi's life is taken.
Takagi and his friends are questioned by detective Utsumi (Subaru Kimura), but because they haven't seen the culprit's face clearly, they can't be sure it's Mori, and can only give vague answers. Another clue is a DVD taken from the time capsule. There's no doubt that the video of everyone talking about their dreams contains something the culprit wouldn't want others to see, but the location of the DVD is unknown.
After completing his questioning, Takagi goes to the elementary school to pick up his daughter Kanon (Miyazaki Ririsa). When Takagi hears Kanon's greeting, he realizes that her homeroom teacher is "Mori" (Furudate Yutaro). He approaches Mori, but Mori, with a sly grin, mutters, "I finally realized..." Then, realizing that Mori has the DVD, Takagi tells Sonoko, Koyama, and others at Imakuni about it. Tsuchiya insists that they should notify the police, but Koyama stubbornly refuses.
Later, Mori visits Takagi's house alone. He criticizes Takagi and the others for bullying him, ignoring Takagi's words, "I'm trying to face this and live my life properly," and accuses him, saying, "Hehe... weren't you guys the ones who killed him? You were the ones who started it, weren't you?" and "You only remember what's convenient for you, so how are you facing this? You don't even remember that you were bullying Do-san anyway." After Mori leaves, Takagi goes to "Imakuni" and asks Koyama and the others, "I wonder if he's really the culprit?"
Afterwards, Kanon, who is trying to reconcile Takagi and Mori, believes that the DVD is the cause of their fight and goes to school to try to take the DVD while Mori is away. Takagi rushes to the school and finds Kanon and Mori, and the two of them talk. Mori reveals that he met "Chonmage" Hadachi at the appointed place, that he actually wanted to help Hadachi, and that he knew that bad things about "Do-ko" had been written on the message board but was unable to delete the homepage, and then he hands the DVD over to Takagi... and so on.
Towards the end of the episode, Takagi, Mori, Koyama and others are shown playing a DVD at Imakuni. After seeing Mori talking about her dreams for the future, Takagi and the others realize there's more to the DVD, and when a girl who introduces herself as "Seto Shion" appears, Takagi stands up in surprise. Mori asks Takagi, "Do you remember?" and when Sonoko asks, "Who are you?", he replies, "The girl from Do." Takagi then stares at the screen and mutters, "Another...the girl from Do..." and on screen, a girl who introduces herself as Seto Shion says, "My dream is to become a pianist."
On social media, people expressed surprise at the fact that there was "one more person" that everyone had forgotten about. Comments such as "I'm getting goosebumps," "This is the girl in Do that Saruhashi doesn't know about...," "So this is the girl who made the piano crafts," "Is she the one who bullied the piano player?" and "So there were two girls, one in Do and one in Which?" were posted.
