The ninth episode of the TBS Friday drama "Fake Mummy" (Fridays at 10 PM), starring actors Haru and Rina Kawaei, aired on December 5th. The tearful exchange between Hidaka Mamie (Rina Kawaei) and her daughter Iroha (played by Ikemura Aoi) brought tears to the eyes of viewers.

Iroha is called by Shingo Motohashi (Masa Kasamatsu) in the middle of the night. He tells her that Shingo is her father and that her classmate Keigo (Ryunosuke Takashima) is her sibling. He also convinces her to become a member of the Motohashi family in order to help Mamie, who will be fired as president of RAINBOWLAB if things continue as they are, and the other employees who will lose their jobs.
The next morning, Iroha declared to Makie, "Mom, Iroha is going to that guy (Shingo)'s place." She revealed that she met Shingo because she wanted to meet her father, saying, "He said he'd buy me anything I wanted, like a cute dress. And then..."
Looking at Iroha, Mamie asks, "What else? What?" Iroha says that she can eat French food every day, but Mamie sees through Iroha's lie.
Mamie heard about her conversation with Shingo from Iroha. Tears welling up in her eyes, she hugged Iroha and said, "Mum, it's because of Iroha that I've been able to get this far. I've been able to live my life to the fullest. So a life without Iroha would be meaningless," and Iroha also cried, saying, "Mum, I'm sorry."
On social media, comments such as "The scene where Mamie declares that she knows Iroha doesn't like dresses and then hugs her and tells her that she is precious to her made me cry," "I almost cried when Mamie, as a mother, told Iroha with such sincerity that 'A life without Iroha is meaningless,'" "In the scene where Kawaei sees through Iroha's lie and listens to her, her eyes watching over her were so gentle, she was like a mother," and "Both Kawaei and Ao are such good actors (sobbing)" were spreading.
