It has been announced that the TV anime "Nmeneko," based on a manga by creator Shirimoto, will collaborate with Sonic, the popular character from the Sega game series "Sonic the Hedgehog." The collaborative episode will air on TBS from 1:58 a.m. on December 11th, and will feature Sonic and his partner Tails.
Junichi Kanamaru, the voice actor for Sonic, said, "I had a lot of fun recording 'Nmeneko.' Actually, I have two cats at home, one of which is a Russian Blue that looks a lot like Usukuro-kun. I also had the opportunity to read the comics about the cute Nmeneko-chan. 'Everything is fun when we're together.' That's so profound. It's so true. Please continue to entertain us."
Ryo Hirohashi, who plays Tails, commented, "I visited the warm and lively world of Nmeneko and Usukuro. Wherever he goes, Sonic is cool, awesome and fast. I wonder if Tails can keep up? Please also look forward to Sonic and Tails in the world of Nmeneko. It was fun. Thank you!"
