The seventh episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama "The Royal Family" (Sundays at 9pm), starring actor Satoshi Tsumabuki, was broadcast on November 23rd, recording an average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) of 10.5% for households and 6.3% for individuals.
The drama is set in the world of horse racing and tells the story of a man and a racehorse over a 20-year period, where miracles are made possible through the bonds of family and friends. Tsumabuki plays tax accountant Eiji Kurisu, and the cast also includes Koichi Sato, Ren Meguro, and Wakana Matsumoto.
Episode 7 was titled "Kuchitori Ceremony." After Hope sadly retires after coming in second in the Arima Kinen, Kurisu (Tsumabuki) arranges a reunion between Koichi (Ren Meguro) and Kozo (Koichi Sato) at Koichi's request. However, the awkward reunion between the two develops into an argument, and Kurisu works hard to reconcile the two. Meanwhile, a certain suggestion from Koichi triggers the team to start moving again towards victory in the Arima Kinen... and so the story unfolds.
