Actor Haruna Kawaguchi attended the pre-broadcast premiere event for Abema's original drama "Scandal Eve" held in Tokyo on November 18th. She spoke about her impression of fellow Nagasaki native Mizuki Kayashima, who co-stars with her in the drama.
The event featured a talk on the theme of "People whose impressions changed dramatically after meeting them in person." Kayashima spoke about Kawaguchi's charm, saying, "My favorite is Kawaguchi Haruna. From seeing her on variety shows, I had the impression that she was a fun, cute person, but in reality, I was nervous when I met her, thinking that she might have a cool, dark side, but that wasn't the case at all, and now I call her "Haru-chan." She's cool and straightforward, and I felt her charm even more when I met her."
Kawaguchi expressed her joy, saying, "I'm happy." She praised Kayashima, saying, "This is the first time we've worked together, and Kayashima is from the same hometown as me, so I thought, 'There are so many beautiful women in Nagasaki!'" She continued, "She seems mature, so I thought there wouldn't be much difference in age, but she's actually very young (21 years old), but she's very reliable, and even though she's younger than me, when we're together she always listens to what I have to say, and we get along well."
Also attending the event were Ko Shibasaki, Yokoyama Yuu, Yanagi Shuntaro, Asaka Kodai, Jun Hashimoto Jun, Saito Nagisa Saito, Hosumi Mahiro, Suzuki Kosuke, Yusuke Santamaria, and Honami Suzuki.
The drama is a suspenseful story depicting the forbidden battle over a scandal between an entertainment agency and a weekly magazine. Just as F, the leading actor of the entertainment agency "Rafale," lands a starring role in a terrestrial TV drama, the agency's representative, Saki Ioka (Shibasaki), hears an announcement from a weekly magazine that F's "adultery scandal" will be published. The article was written by Kanade Hirata (Kawaguchi), a reporter for Weekly Buncho, who has exposed the scandals of many celebrities. With 72 hours left until the article is published, a fierce battle between the agency and the weekly magazine over the publication of the scandal begins. Then, new facts hidden behind the scandal draw her into the deep darkness of the entertainment world.
