It has been revealed that the box office revenue of the animated film " 100 Meters ", based on the manga by Uoto , who is also known for " Orb: On the Movements of the Earth (Chi: Chikyu no Undo ni Tsuite), " which was adapted into a TV anime, has exceeded 700 million yen in about two months since its release on September 19th. The film has been a hit, with audience numbers exceeding 470,000.
To commemorate the box office revenue surpassing 700 million yen, an original illustration drawn by character designer and animation director Kojima Keisuke has been released. The special visual depicts Komiya and Kyoda in their high school days, along with the members of the Nishizawa High School track and field club to which they belong. It has also been announced that postcards using the same illustration will be distributed as the ninth gift in the series for moviegoers, starting November 21st.
Producer Terada Yusuke, who worked on the film, commented, "The theme song for ' 100 Meters', 'Rashisa' by Official Hige Dandism, is five minutes and two seconds long. Many songs are three and a half or four minutes long, so when I first heard the length, I was a little worried about whether we would be able to fill the entire credits. But when we put it all together, I realized that those worries were completely unfounded, and now I can't imagine using any other song of this length, so we were able to create the best credits ever. I believe the passion for this film was created by the animation staff, sound staff, cast, rotoscope live-action actors and staff, track and field staff, Uoto sensei and everyone involved in the original work, who filled the five minutes and two seconds to the fullest, and finally, the back office staff who supported all of these sections behind the scenes."

"100 Meters" is Uo Uoto's debut serialized work, which was serialized on Kodansha's web manga app Magazine Pocket (Magapoke) from 2018 to 2019. It depicts the madness and passion of those in the world of track and field who are captivated by the brilliance of the 100m, a flash of light that lasts less than 10 seconds.
The anime will be directed by Kenji Iwaizawa, who was nominated for an Annie Award for his work on "Music," and will be produced by Rock 'n' Roll Mountain, the studio behind "Music."
