It has been revealed that the TV anime "Tojima Tanzaburo wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai," based on the manga by Yokusaru Shibata, known for works such as "Hachi-One Diver," will enter a tournament arc from episode 8. A tournament to determine the strongest will unfold between Higashijima Tanzaburou, Okada Yuriko, Shimamura Kazuha, Shimamura Mitsuha, and Yukaris, and visuals of the five characters have also been released. Episode 8 will air sequentially from late night on November 22nd.
It has also been revealed that a screening of a specially edited version of the tournament arc will be held at T-Joy PRINCE Shinagawa (Minato Ward, Tokyo) on November 20th. Katsuyuki Konishi, who plays Higashijima Tanzaburou, will also be in attendance and will record a declaration of the opening of the tournament arc together with the audience. The specially edited version of the tournament arc will be streamed on ABEMA and d Anime Store for one day only on November 22nd.
The official anime logo generator for the series' logo and the titles of each episode has also been released. The series logo and the title logos for episodes 1 to 4 are available on the anime's official website, and you can create your own logo by making some changes. Episode titles will be added in the future.
The series began serialization in Monthly Heroes (Heroes, currently out of print) in 2018, and is currently being serialized on the manga distribution site Comiplex (same publisher). The story follows Higashijima Tanzaburou, who at the age of 40 is still serious about becoming Kamen Rider, but just as he is about to give up on his dream, he gets caught up in a fake Shocker robbery that causes a stir in the world. Ishimori Productions and Toei are collaborating.
The anime is directed by Ikezoe Takahiro and series composition is by Machida Doko. It is produced by Liden Films. In addition to Katsuyuki Konishi as Higashijima Tanzaburo, the cast also includes Ai Kayano as Okada Yuriko, Kenichi Suzumura as Shimamura Ichiyo, Soma Saito Soma as Shimamura Mitsuha, Fairouz Ai as Yukaris, and Kenjiro Tsuda. It is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other channels.
