"Jun, didn't you know all this time?" Jun's father, Wataru (Kitamura), asks Jun as the residents gather at the Nagashima couple's (Kusakari Masao and Agawa Sawako) home on the first floor of "Tasogare Heights." He asks if Jun knew that Wataru and Ann (Nakama) were going to divorce when Yuzu (Kondo Hana) turns 20, and if he had been aware of it since he was little, and Jun admits with tears in his eyes.
Jun had always been kind, thoughtful of others, and protected An. Upon hearing her son's confession, An burst into tears and said, "I'm the worst. I'm the worst. I made you like this..."
Jun looked at Ann blaming herself with a surprised expression and said, "Why are you apologizing? I've never thought that your mother didn't love me or Yuzu and wanted to break up, and children can tell if they love you or not." He then declared that he would always continue to support Ann and would support her divorce, saying tearfully, "I'm glad I was born as your child, and I love this family."
Furthermore, Jun pleaded with Ann not to think that he had "turned Jun into this kind of person," to which he replied with a refreshing smile, "Because I love myself, and I mean, I'm actually a pretty good guy, right!?"
On social media, people were saying things like, "Jun's feelings almost made me cry," "Jun is so brave, he puts on a smile even while crying so as not to worry An. Wow, I started crying too," "I'm glad Jun isn't an angel pretending to be a good girl," and "No, he's not just nice, Jun is an incredibly good-looking guy."
