A talk event for the fourth chapter, "Sasha the Light Blue Maiden," of " Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199 ," the latest installment in the remake series of the popular anime " Space Battleship Yamato ," entitled "Screening with Yamatalk (Cast Edition)," was held on November 12th at Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo). At the end of the event, a special video of the fifth chapter, "The Incandescent Galactic War," which is still in production, was screened. The video shown that day appeared to be the start of an "all-out war," and after the screening, the gathered fans erupted in excitement.
"Yamato 3199" is a re-imagining of the original works " Be Forever Yamato" and "Space Battleship Yamato III," with new interpretations added. "Yamato 3199" consists of seven chapters, with the fifth chapter, "The Incandescent Galactic War," set to premiere on February 20, 2026. The fifth chapter will feature a "continuous warp" scene, which also appears in the original work, and it has been revealed that Susumu Kodai and Alphonse will face off against each other.
Appearing at the event were Megumi Han, who plays Megumi Han, Harutoshi Fukui, the general director, Naomichi Yamato, the director, Hideki Oka, the scriptwriter, and Eriko Nakamura, who plays Mikage Kiryu. Regarding future developments, Megumi Han said, "You were fooled until the very end. I'm looking forward to seeing how things develop," and added, "From here on out, it's going to be a whirlwind. I hope you'll believe in me and follow along."
