89-year-old actress Hitomi Nakahara will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on November 11th.
He entered the entertainment industry at the age of 17 as a Toei New Face, and often co-starred with Takakura Ken, who was one generation younger than him, revealing that Takakura was his "first love." He met Misora Hibari, with whom he co-starred in his younger days, by chance in his later years and they became good friends. He said that the times they spent together, discussing each other's worries about raising children and going on short trips together, were fond memories. He will be showing off a treasure he received from Hibari for the first time on television.
Having lost her husband, actor Shinjiro Ehara, three years ago, she lives alone in the same apartment building as her daughter and her family. She takes care of her health so as not to cause trouble for her daughter, and seems to cherish the time she spends with her friends. She particularly enjoys playing "healthy mahjong" as a way to communicate and exercise her mind, and has even held the "Nakahara Hitomi Cup," named after herself.
