The entertainment magazine "Zessei" (J-Pop Legacy), with Okura Tadayoshi of the popular group "SUPER EIGHT" as editor-in-chief, will be launched on November 10th. In addition, a photo exhibition commemorating the launch will be held from the same day until the 30th at Laforet Museum Harajuku in Harajuku, Tokyo. A press conference was held at the same venue on the 9th, where Okura spoke about the thoughts he put into the launch and the highlights of the magazine.
Okura explained the circumstances that led to the launch of the magazine, saying, "There are about 200 juniors in total in the east and west, and with the number of magazines becoming fewer and fewer, I wondered if there could be a magazine that could introduce attractive girls to the public." He continued, "I'm from the analog generation. I looked forward to the release of the magazine and wondered if there was a way to preserve the experience of getting excited when I picked it up."
Regarding the title, he said, "The aim is to take beautiful photos of celebrities, like stunning beauties. It also ties in with the Z generation."
When asked about his impressions after making the book, he said he realized how much hard work goes into it. "We only participate on the day of the shoot, so there's a lot of work like design and selecting photos, and things like, 'Do we even have to decide this?' It really made me want to change my attitude towards interviews," he said, drawing laughter from the press.
Also appearing at the press conference were Ryusei Fukada from the popular junior group ACEes, who appears on the cover and in the opening interview of the inaugural issue, and Takuya Nishimura from Kansai Juniors, who appears in the back cover.
