The fifth episode of the drama series "When I Was Young, There Was a God" (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10pm), starring actor Kitamura Yukiya and co-starring Nakama Yukie, was broadcast on November 6th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 3.8% for households and 2.1% for individuals.
The drama is an original work by screenwriter Yoshikazu Okada, known for the "Second to Last Love" series. It is a home comedy that tells the story of three families living in a retro apartment building, and Kitamura and Nakama play a married couple. This is Kitamura's first lead role in a prime-time terrestrial TV drama.
Episode 5 was broadcast under the title "An Angel Too Delicate."
One night, Ann (Nakama) remembers that she has a class reunion. Wataru (Kitamura) hears a story at work about the feelings of women at class reunions, and calls out to Ann when she returns from the reunion... Shinichi (Kusakari Masao) and Satoko (Agawa Sawako) return to "Tasogare States." However, their granddaughter Rin (Wachi Yuzuha) disappears... and so the story unfolds.
