The Jujutsu Kaisen anime series, based on the popular manga by Akutami Gege, will be released on November 7th as the " Jujutsu Kaisen: Shibuya Incident Special Edition x Culling Game Advance Screening" special. In response to this, a special program Gege Akutami on the story of the anime so far, "You can still catch up! Jujutsu Kaisen Special," has been released on YouTube.
The film looks back on the protagonist, Yuji Itadori's, growth and struggles from his beginnings as a sorcerer to the "Culling Game," and introduces the characters who are involved in Itadori's fate. It also discusses "Jujutsu Kaisen Jujutsu Kaisen 0," the origin of "Jujutsu Kaisen," and shows the growth of its protagonist, Yuta Okkotsu. In "Culling Game ," Itadori and Okkotsu, who share the same master, Satoru Gojo, clash.
" Jujutsu Kaisen the Movie: Shibuya Incident Special Edition x Culling Game Advance Screening" will include a special edited version of "Shibuya Incident" from the second season of the TV anime, as well as an advance screening of episodes 1 and 2 of the third season, "Culling Game."
"Jujutsu Kaisen" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from March 2018 to September 2024. The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori, who is thrown into a world of battles over curses after a powerful "cursed object" is unsealed. The comic series has sold over 100 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021, while the second season, "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu/ Shibuya Incident," aired from July to December 2023. The third season, "Culling Game Part 1," will air in January 2026. The movie version, "Jujutsu Kaisen 0," a prequel to the first season, was released in December 2021 and was a huge hit, grossing approximately 13.75 billion yen in Japan and approximately 26.5 billion yen worldwide.
