It has been announced that a pop-up shop for the TV anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," based on the manga currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan), "TV Anime ' Frieren: Beyond Journey's End' POP UP SHOP ~Butterfly Frieren~," will open in Tokyo and Osaka. It will be open from December 5th to 14th at Shinjuku Marui Annex (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo), and from December 26th to January 11th, 2026 at Namba Marui (Chuo Ward, Osaka City).
A watercolor-like visual by animator Ayaka Minoshima has also been released. It depicts Frieren, Fern, Stark, Himmel, Heiter, Eisen, and Cho dancing, and merchandise designed with this visual will be on sale. For every 2,200 yen spent, a bonus postcard featuring the same visual will be given as a gift.
"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe Abe, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in April 2020. Frieren is a magician in the hero's party who defeated the Demon King. As an elf, she lives a long life. After experiencing the death of a companion, she embarks on a journey to "discover people." The manga has been nominated for the Manga Taisho 2021, the Newcomer Award at the 25th Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize, the 69th (2023) Shogakukan Manga Award, and the Boys' Category at the 48th Kodansha Manga Award.
The first season of the TV anime aired on Nippon Television's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (Fura-ani)" from September 2023 to March 2024. The second season will air on "Fura-ani" every Friday at 11:00 PM starting January 16, 2026.
