"Shinjuku Anime Song Scope" is a program where Higuchi Sho, the anime buyer at Tower Records Shinjuku, known for its extensive selection of anime songs, shares best-selling anime songs and real-life opinions from the sales floor. The number one album at the store from October 19th to 26th was "M30 ~Your Best~," a best-of album celebrating the 30th anniversary of voice actress and singer Maaya Sakamoto's debut.

Sakamoto's top-ranked best-of album, "M30 ~Your Best~," includes 15 songs selected by fan vote from the 255 songs she has recorded over the past 30 years, as well as 15 "MAAYA's BEST SONG" songs selected by 15 of Sakamoto's musical friends.
Ranking sixth is "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! SPECIAL SOLO RECORDS Tanaka Kotoha," part of the "SPECIAL SOLO RECORDS" project, which involves releasing 52 solo collection CDs of all 52 idols from the popular game "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE!" over 52 consecutive weeks.
Coming in at No. 8 is "Lament Collection Vol.3 ~Witches of Qlipha~," the third album in the series that features "Laments," the exclusive songs of characters from the popular game "Memento Mori." Coming in at No. 9 is "Door→," the second single by virtual "singer" Shiraku Utano, who made her major debut in April this year.

Theater Days (Mirishita)," and the second album by Takako Ota, who played Creamy Mami in the popular 1980s anime "Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel Creamy Mami," singing 1980s J-rock and J-pop songs, titled "Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel Mami ~ROCK'n Mami 80's~."

◇Profile
Higuchi Sho is a buyer in charge of anime at Tower Records Shinjuku's 7th floor (Japanese music and sales promotion). He was transferred from the Machida store in 2014. He first became interested in anime through 1990s works such as "Neon Genesis Evangelion," "BLUE SEED," and "VS Knight Ramune & 40 Flames," and among anime songs, he loves listening to character songs, especially those related to idol anime. His favorite anthem is "Up! 10sion Pleeeeeeeeease!" from "The Idolmaster Million Live!" His favorite anime and games include "Pretty Rhythm," "The Idolmaster," "Photo Kano," and "Sakura Wars."
