Actor Shota Sometani will be a guest on the talk variety show "A-Studio+" (TBS), which will air at 11:00 p.m. on October 31st.
He has been married to actress Rinko Kikuchi for 10 years. In an interview with Kikuchi, he reveals that even now, "we cherish the time we spend together on dates, leaving our children with our parents." They also share their thoughts on the films they've appeared in and reveal their unique styles when reading each other's works. They also reveal Sometani's side as a father, choosing clothes for the whole family that suit the temperature of the day. They also talk about how the couple met, behind-the-scenes stories from the Berlin International Film Festival they attended together as a couple, and the Buddha-like face he portrayed in the film "Saint Young Men."
We also interviewed stylist Michio Hayashi, who has known Someya since high school and is a longtime friend of Kikuchi. He revealed some surprising aspects of Someya, such as how he is "incredibly bad at directions" and "often gets dates wrong." Someya himself shared some slightly "idiot" anecdotes, such as "I got the date wrong on a family trip and ended up at an inn a month early," and "I mistook the date and time of an audition and almost missed it."
Someya and Kikuchi have expressed their feelings to each other, saying, "I'm glad I married this person," and although the two have completely opposite personalities, they support each other and open new doors for each other. In the preview video, Someya is seen saying, "It broadens my horizons."
