The third episode of the fifth season of the TV drama series " Emergency Interrogation Room " (TV Asahi, Thursdays at 9:00 PM), starring Yuki Amami , will air on October 30th. Guest appearances by Shigeyuki Totsugi and Takato Nagata will also be made. Due to the broadcast of Game 5 of the SMBC Japan Series 2025, there is a possibility that the broadcast time may be changed or the episode may be suspended (broadcast next week).
Video streamer Higuchi Yuka (Shimizu Kurumi) is lightly dressed when she goes mountain climbing, but gets separated from her boyfriend Kondo Haruto (Nagata), who was accompanying her, and ends up stranded. She miraculously survives, but falls unconscious and in critical condition.
Near the scene, the body of a mountain rescue team member, Domon Sho (Hayatani Shota), is found, presumably having fallen to his death during a search operation. However, the results of an autopsy reveal that it may have been a murder case. There are suspicious marks of beatings, and his cell phone is missing.
The person who has emerged as a key witness is Masayoshi Fuse (played by Toji), the captain of the mountain rescue team who was with him until just before the incident. He has saved many lives in the past and is nicknamed the "God of the Mountains."
Yukiko Makabe (played by Amami) and the "Emergency Incident Response Investigation Team (commonly known as Kintori)" questioned Fuse, but they found nothing suspicious and that he was honest.
Yukiko, suspicious of the testimony that seems to make too much sense, suggests using leading questions to sway him. However, Kajiyama Katsutoshi ( Tetsushi Tanaka), an administrator and a former member of the same university mountaineering club as Fuse, objects.
The script is by Yumiko Inoue. The popular series follows the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Emergency Response Investigation Unit, led by veteran interrogator Yukiko Makabe, as they engage in a back-and-forth psychological battle with violent criminals. The series began in 2014 and will conclude with the theatrical version of "Emergency Interrogation Room THE FINAL," which will be released on December 26th of this year.
