The third episode of the drama series "Good Things and Bad Things" (NTV, Saturdays at 9 PM), starring Mamiya Shotaro and Araki Yuko, aired on October 25th. Takagi's (Mamiya) best friend Koyama (Shintaro Morimoto) is targeted for assassination, and on social media, suspicions are raised about Shinonome (Fukagawa Mai), a reporter for Weekly Apollo and Sonoko's (Araki) colleague.
◇The following contains spoilers.
Takagi's hunch came true, and Nico-chan, also known as Emi (Matsui Rena), became the third victim. Takagi realized that the perpetrator was committing the crimes according to the lyrics of a parody song that Takagi and the other six wrote 22 years ago, and thought, "The next target will be Turbo (Koyama)."
Takagi's best friend, Koyama, runs an app development company in the US and happened to be back in Japan for a press conference to promote a new business venture. However, Sonoko is suspicious, wondering, "Just happened to be back in Japan...?" Takagi continues to investigate, thinking, "There's no way Koyama could be the culprit," but when Koyama realizes that the targets of the crime are six people Sonoko has a grudge against, he becomes convinced that it's Sonoko's revenge plot.
Sonoko contacts Koyama, requesting an interview. Koyama suspects Sonoko of being the culprit, but Sonoko flatly denies it... and so the story unfolds.
Koyama holds a press conference about his new service while Takagi, Sonoko, Shinonome, and others look on. Takagi and the others are wary of any suspicious people, but Koyama completes his presentation without incident. However, afterwards, a large pane of glass falls on Koyama's head as he is being interviewed. Takagi notices and jumps to Koyama's aid, narrowly avoiding a direct hit from the pane.
Despite attending the press conference, Shinonome was nowhere to be seen at the press conference, leading to comments on social media such as "Shinonome seems suspicious...?", "Where is Saruhashi's colleague?", "Where did Shinonome go?", "If Turbo didn't stage it himself, then Shinonome seems suspicious", and "His female colleague was also at the same venue, so doesn't that make her suspicious?"
