On October 28th, Daisuke Sakuma of the popular group "Snow Man" appeared at the preview screening of the completed film "Night Flower" (directed by Uchida Eiji, to be released on November 28th), starring Keiko Kitagawa.
Sakuma, who continues to work with Uchida on projects such as "Matching" (to be released in 2024) and "The Specials" (to be released in 2026), in which he plays the lead role, said, "Director Uchida is fashionable, and he always comes to the set in a stylish outfit." He revealed, "The jersey he was wearing was so cool, I said, 'Director, I want it! Please give it to me!' He said, 'I'm wearing it now, so I can't give it to you,' but on the next day of filming, he gave me a brand new one." He said with a smile, "The filming took place around Christmas (last year), so he was like Santa Claus to me."
In response to the question "If you could have another face?", which is a reference to the main character who is both a mother and a drug dealer, Sakuma answered "Director Uchida." She said, "I respect him because he's not just a director, he's also the original author, writer, director, and does a lot of other things. I really respect creators who can create something."
As Sakuma escorted Kitagawa, who was wearing a long dress, down from the stage, cheers erupted from the audience.
The event was also attended by Misato Morita, Shibuya Ryuta from the rock band SUPER BEAVER, Tanaka Rena, Ken Mitsuishi, and director Uchida.
