It has been revealed that characters from the first stage play of the popular anime "PreCure" series, "Dancing☆Star PreCure The Stage (BokuPri)," will appear in animated form in the 22nd installment of the series, "You and Idol Pretty Cure." "BokuPri" is a stage play featuring the male PreCure characters, and in the 39th episode, which will be broadcast on Getsuku, Cure Top, Cure Rock, Cure Soul, Cure Kagura, Cure Break, and the fairy Pas de Deux will make a guest appearance.
Anime setting drawings and cuts by Kawamura Toshie, who has worked on character design for many of the series and was also in charge of character design for "BokuPri", were also released. Voice actors will be the same cast members from the stage play, including Tamura Shogo as Cure Top/Seika Raku, Takizawa Ryo as Cure Rock/Natsume Hayato, Morita Kiriya as Cure Soul/Tsukimiya Souna, Terasaka Raiga as Cure Kagura/Amagi Akimasa, Kotsuji Iori as Cure Break/Kurose Maito, and Wago Shinichi as Pas de Deux. To commemorate the guest appearance, a collaborative dance video for "Kimi to Rurara", the latter ending theme song of "You and Idol Pretty Cure", was also released on YouTube.
The motif of "You and Idol Pretty Cure" is "idols," and the theme is "Because of you, we can shine and become stronger!". The legendary saviors, Idol Precure, sing, dance, and give "fan service" for "you," whether it's the people they love, the important people, the people who support them, the people next to them, or the people in front of them, and your presence makes Idol Precure shine brightly and strongly.
The cast includes Misato Matsuoka Uta, Minami Takahashi as Cure Ink/Aokaze Nana, Natsumi Takamori as Cure Kyun Kyun/Shizume Kokoro, Yoshino Nanjo as Cure Zukyoon /Purirun, and Miharu Hanai as Cure Kiss/Meloron. The series airs every Sunday at 8:30 am on ABC TV and TV Asahi.
"BokuPri" is an original story depicting high school boys fulfilling their mission as Pretty Cure with the rhythm of light. Producer Washio Ten of Toei Animation, the creator of the "Pretty Cure" series, served as supervisor, and Kawamura was in charge of character design. The first series was performed in October and November 2023. The third series will be performed at Tennozu Galaxy Theater (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo) from December 5th to 14th, and at Cool Japan Park Osaka TT Hall (Chuo Ward, Osaka City) from December 19th to 21st.
