On October 22nd, Arashi's Aiba Masaki and talent Hiromi made a surprise visit to Ongata Junior High School in Kami-Ongata, Hachioji, Tokyo. As part of a segment on the variety show "Aiba Hiromi's Troubles Car?" (TV Asahi, Thursdays at 7pm), which will begin airing regularly from the 23rd, the two appeared in the gymnasium, causing a commotion among the gathered students, who had been informed that it was a "debriefing session on the sports day." A shriek of "Aaaah!" erupted.
The show features Aiba and Hiromi doing their best to solve the "problems" of people all over the country. On this day, the two visited Ongata in response to a message sent to the show by a female student from Ongata Junior High School, who said, "TV coverage often comes to the prosperous areas of Hachioji, but Ongata is too deep in the mountains for celebrities to come."
When Aiba stood on the stage in the gymnasium and called out, "A celebrity has come!", the students went wild. However, when Aiba asked the female student who made the request, "Who did you really want to come?", she honestly replied, "Snow Man," causing the two to burst into laughter. Aiba responded with a smile, "Arashi and Hiromi came today (lol)!", and Hiromi, who is from Hachioji, said, "My parents' house is right there!"
After that, Hiromi listened to the problems other students had, and in response to one student's question, "I'm an athlete, can you tell me how to achieve good results without getting nervous?" Hiromi encouraged him by saying, "Have confidence that you've been practicing more than anyone else and that what you've been doing is not wrong!"
They also met a boy who had attended a kindergarten that Hiromi had previously renovated on another program, and the two were surprised, saying, "What?!" Hiromi narrowed his eyes and said, "He's grown so much! That means I'm getting old too (laughs)."
At a press conference held just before the surprise, Hiromi said, "I'm always nervous when there's a surprise (for young people) because they might think I'm a strange old man (lol)," but after seeing how successful the event was, he grinned and said, "I'm surprisingly popular, huh (lol)?" Aiba also smiled and said, "I'm glad they were happy!" Details of the surprise will be shown on the program airing on November 27th.
