On the variety show "Kaiun! Nandemo Kanteidan" (TV Tokyo, Tuesdays 8:54pm), hosted by entertainer Koji Imada, freelance announcer Akira Fukuzawa, and former Sakurazaka46 member Yuka Sugai Sugai, on October 21st, a "small painting by Tsuguharu Foujita bought for 10 million yen" will be featured as a treasure.
The client is a die-hard antique collector with a collection of tens of thousands of items. The treasure is an oil painting by Tsuguharu Foujita, known for his bob haircut and round glasses. About 15 years ago, he discovered it for sale at a local gallery for 10 million yen. He bought it with the intention of jumping off the stage at Kiyomizu Temple.
It's a small painting, about the size of two postcards, but it's the most favorite in his collection because it depicts an old man playing the guitar in great detail. However, no one in his family will listen to him, so he wants to prove it's authentic and get his family interested. But will he be able to do so?
