It has been announced that Nashiko Momotsuki, who is active as an actor and model, will be appearing as a voice actor in the TV anime "My Awkward Senpai," based on the manga by Makoto Kudo, currently serialized in "Young Gangan" (Square Enix). Momotsuki is the promotional ambassador for the series, and has also been making waves by appearing in a collaborative gravure shoot. Momotsuki will play Nashiko Akizuki, who will appear in the fourth episode, which will be aired sequentially from October 23rd.
Momotsuki commented, "Since 2021, I have been appearing on the cover of Young Gangan in collaboration with the series, and from there I was appointed as a promotional ambassador, and it's a series I've been involved with ever since, so I'm very happy to be able to be involved with it in this anime as well. I previously did voice acting for another anime series and found it difficult, so I was both happy and nervous about doing it again. However, the staff happened to be the same ones who worked on the previous anime, and after we finished recording they praised me, saying, 'You've grown so much!' so I was very happy."
"Thank you for your continued support! Thanks to everyone's continued support, I have been able to continue collaborating with ' My Awkward Senpai' since 2021, and I have also been able to be involved as a guest voice actor in the anime. I would like to continue working hard in a wide range of areas, so I would be happy if you would continue to support me," she said.
The series is a romantic comedy that depicts the daily lives of Azusa Kannawa, a clumsy and often misunderstood older boss, and Yu Kamekawa, a serious new employee. It is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other stations.
