"A House in the Middle of Nowhere" (ABC TV/TV Asahi, Sunday 7:54 pm) is a variety show that uses satellite photos to search for a remote house. In the October 19th broadcast, the search team visits a luxurious tea house in the mountains of Okayama Prefecture.
The search team headed to a coastal village overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. When residents looked at the building in the satellite photos, they learned that it may have once been a hot spring facility. It is now out of business, but there is a rest house nearby that serves as a landmark.
The search team decided to head to the rest house first. After walking along a paved mountain path, they arrived at the rest house. There was also a Bizen ware workshop nearby, so they decided to ask around there. The 80-year-old male potter who warmly welcomed them looked at the building on satellite photos and declared, "This is a tea house. It's a magnificent tea house."
Having been granted permission to film, the search team heads to the tea house with the potter. As they make their way deeper into the mountain, pushing their way through the steep mountain path, they come across an intricately latticed gate and a splendid Japanese house with beautiful eaves girders. What is this beautiful tea house nestled deep in the mountains?
The trailer also introduces a work by a male ceramic artist on the theme of "fighting people."
The guests are actor Kosaka Kazuki and actor and figure skater Honda Miyu.
