The first episode of the drama series "Shumaku no Rondo" (Kantele/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10pm), starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, was broadcast on October 13th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 5.9% for households and 3.1% for individuals.
The drama is a human drama about Itsuki Torikai, a personal effects organizer who is raising his young son alone, and his colleagues at the estate sorting company who work with families facing various circumstances. Kusanagi plays Itsuki Torikai, a personal effects organizer who is living as a single father after losing his wife, and the story depicts a moving story of unraveling the final messages of the deceased contained in their belongings, as well as a heartbreaking adult love story.
In the first episode, Itsuki (Kusanagi) is tasked with specially cleaning the room where a woman has died alone and sorting out her belongings. He takes new employee Kume Yuzuha (Yagi Rikako) to the scene where traces of the body remain. The client, the deceased's son (Yoshimura Kaito), who was abandoned at the age of 10, coldly tells him that his mother brought it on herself for her lonely death and asks that all of her belongings be disposed of. Itsuki finds something in the room that is filled with the deceased's feelings... and so the story unfolds.
