It has been announced that a completely new TV anime series based on the popular anime series "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha," titled "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance," will be broadcast in 2026. The first key visual, depicting a girl holding a gun, has also been released. The girl is standing in a devastated city, gazing off into space, with a corpse of some kind depicted behind her.
A Teaser trailer has also been released on YouTube. In addition to lines from the series' protagonist, Nanoha Takamachi, a "girl's voice" can be heard, revealing a strong resolve: "I will live in this world. So that our hands will never let go." New characters and cast members will be announced in the future.
The new film will be produced by Seven Arcs, with the original story and script by Tsuzuki Maki, who also worked on the series, and directed by Hamana Takayuki.
"Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha" is a popular series that has been adapted into anime, games, novels, manga, and more. The first TV anime series aired from October to December 2004. The second series, "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's," aired from October to December 2005, the third series, "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Nanoha StrikerS," aired from April to September 2007, and the fourth series, "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid," aired from April to June 2015.
The animated film "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st" was released in 2010, "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 2nd A's" in 2012, "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Nanoha Reflection" in 2017, and "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation" in 2018.
