The NHK Asadora drama series "Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM) starring Akari Takaishi will begin airing on September 29th. The story follows the heroine, who loves ghost stories, as she and her foreign husband go about their everyday lives. Here, we introduce Eliza Belsland, played by Charlotte Kate Fox.
" Bakebake" is the 113th morning Asadora. The heroine, Toki Matsuno(played by Takaishi), and her husband, Lefkada Heaven (played by Tommy Bastow), are based on Setsu Koizumi, the daughter of a fallen samurai from Matsue, and Lafcadio Hearn(played by Yakumo Koizumi ). The drama boldly reconstructs the characters, changing some of the names of characters and organizations to create a fictional portrayal.
The story is not based on an original novel, but is an original work by screenwriter Fujiki Mitsuhiko, who has worked on NHK's drama "Asagaya Sisters' Relaxed Life" and WOWOW's "Shooting Break Series." The music will be provided by Kensuke Ushio, who has also worked on TV anime " Dandadan" and "Orb: On the Movements of the Earth (Chi: Chikyu no Undo ni Tsuite). " The theme song has been decided to be "Waratta Korondari" (Laughing and Falling) by the male-female duo Humbert Humbert.
Eliza Belsland is a female journalist active in the United States and a colleague of Heaven. She is a "perfect woman" who is intelligent and has the drive to travel around the world. She encourages Heaven to go to Japan.
This will be Charlotte Kate Fox's third appearance in a Asadora, following her roles as the heroine in "Massan" (2014 second half) and "Beppin-san" (2016 second half), nine years after she played the heroine.
