Kirin Beer's new TV commercial, "Killing Good Ale: Omori-san's Thoughts," starring Motoki Omori of the popular rock band Mrs. Green Apple , was released on September 29th. The commercial began airing nationwide on the same day (excluding some areas).
The commercial is for the new brand "Killing Good Ale," which will be released on October 7th. It was also announced that Omori will become the second brand leader, following Ayase Haruka. Additionally, the new commercial, which uses the theme song "GOOD DAY," a new song written by Mrs. Green Apple, will begin airing nationwide from October 6th.
In the commercial, Omori looks back on his feelings when he was making "GOOD DAY," expressing his excitement and anticipation as he says, "I'll cast a spell to energize all of Japan along with this beer."
Regarding Killing Good Ale, Omori commented, "When I first saw the packaging, I was excited because it was so uplifting and incredibly catchy and wonderful. I also wrote the song, so I was given a lot of materials for that and experienced the passion that went into Killing Good Ale, and I felt a really positive sense of hope and energy. When I actually tried it, I was really impressed that such an exciting beer, which is fruity and easy to drink and can be enjoyed by so many different people, was born in this way."
Regarding the commercial shoot, he recalled, "It's not often in life that you're surrounded by that much orange, so it really lifted my spirits, and I really felt the energy that this beer, Killing Good Ale, has. We had to improvise a lot on the spot, which was a bit embarrassing, but it was fun filming."
