It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime series "Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You," based on the manga by Mitsui Haruka currently serialized in the girls' manga magazine "Nakayoshi" (Kodansha), will be broadcast on TBS and BS11 from January 2026. A teaser trailer for the second season has been released on YouTube, depicting the five childhood friends as "adults" discussing their future paths, as well as a scene in which Hazawa Teruzuki places his hand on the cheek of protagonist Nishino Miho and they lean their faces together.
It was also announced that Mayuko Kazama will be joining the cast. She will play Kuroda, a classmate of Kashiwagi Fuka's from university who is currently a medical intern at the same hospital as Fuka. Kazama said, "Kuroda appears to be a refreshing woman, but in reality she keeps a lot of things hidden inside...she has that kind of side to her. I was careful to play her in a way that even in her straightforward personality, you could see a cute side of her in sudden moments. Also, I myself sometimes don't express what I really think, so I could sympathize with Kuroda in many ways and I think I was able to face the character honestly."
The series began serialization in Nakayoshi in December 2020. It is a school youth story depicting the heart-pounding romance and youth of the protagonist Mizuho, who grew up in a seaside town, and her unique childhood friends, Teruzuki, Miku, Ai, and Shugo. The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March.
