It has been announced that the TV anime series "Mechanical Marie," based on Akimoto Aki's manga, will begin airing on TOKYO MX and other stations from October 5th. Additional cast members have also been announced, including Saima Nakano as Bridget, a classmate at Marie's school; Yo Daichi as Isabelle, a daughter of Arthur's distant relative; Shuntaro Hara as Toby, a senior at Marie's school; Kappei Yamaguchi as Uncle Carl, a distant relative of Arthur; and Rieko Takahashi as Aunt Charlotte, Uncle Carl's wife.
The second trailer has also been released on YouTube, featuring Arthur, who hates humans, Marie, who must never let anyone know she is human, and the fun characters surrounding the two.
"Mechanical Marie" tells the story of Marie, who, due to certain circumstances, ends up serving Arthur, a man who hates humans, as a "robot maid." She protects Arthur from assassins who attack him every day and fulfills her duties. Nao Toyama plays Marie, and Haruki Ishiya plays Arthur. The film is directed by Junji Nishimura and produced by Zero-G and Liber.
