The drama is an original work by screenwriter Shizuka Oishi , known for last year's NHK Taiga drama " To Dear Radiance (Hikaru Kimi e) ," and is a family drama that also explores the love between husband and wife as a "marriage suspense." The story follows the life of a bachelor, lawyer Harada Kotaro (Abe), who is attracted to and marries the mysterious high school art teacher Suzuki Nerula ( Takako Matsu), but she harbors a serious secret.
The final episode, episode 9, was broadcast under the title "A Wife Named Nella."
