It has been announced that the first gift in the series for moviegoers of the upcoming anime film " Chainsaw Man Chainsaw Man Man" based on Tatsuki Fujimoto 's popular manga, will be a booklet with a newly drawn cover illustration by Fujimoto, titled "Love, Flowers, Chainsaw Guide," which will be distributed from the film's release date, September 19th. The booklet will include an original four-panel manga specially drawn by Fujimoto, as well as a behind-the-scenes commentary that reveals some of the original "Reze Arc" storyboards and rough drafts. It will also include settings and storyboards for the movie. The cover illustration for the booklet has been released. It has also been announced that four gifts will be distributed to moviegoers.
It was also announced that the rock band Maximum the Hormone will be performing the insert song "200 Million Centimeters of Blade (Estimated 70% of total ban released edit)." "200 Million Centimeters of Blade" is an insert song for the TV anime " Chainsaw Man," and is used as the ending theme for episode 3. Until now, only the TV version had been released, but the unreleased second verse will be unveiled in theaters as "200 Million Centimeters of Blade (Estimated 70% of total ban released edit)."
Maximum the Ryo-kun commented, "'200 Million Centimeters Long' was the ending theme for the third episode of the TV series and was also used as an insert song, and will be making a comeback as an insert song in the film, ' Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc'! It's called '200 Million Centimeters Long' (estimated 70% of the total version released edit)'. We'll finally be able to hear the TV-sized 'continuation' (lol). One of the reasons we've only released the 90-second TV-sized version until now is because the second verse of the lyrics is actually about Reze. I never thought that a song like that would actually be used in the 'Reze Arc' film...! This is my second consecutive win in my dream battle! (lol). Thank you!"
X launched a campaign on September 5th where Chainsaw Man emojis will appear when users post using designated hashtags. The designated hashtags are "Chainsaw Man", "#chainsawman", "Chainsaw Man", "#IRISOUT", and "#JANEDOE".
The "Reze" arc will tell the story of Reze and the main character, Denji, who also appeared at the end of the TV anime that aired from October to December 2022, and became a hot topic. While Denji is excited about a date with his crush, Makima, he takes shelter from the rain and meets Reze, a young girl who works at a cafe. The story is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, who served as the action director for the TV anime, and produced by MAPPA. Kenshi Yonezu will perform the theme song "IRIS OUT," and Yonezu and Hikaru Utada will perform the ending theme "JANE DOE," which has also been much talked about.
"Chainsaw Man" is a dark hero action story about a boy named Denji who is possessed by a demon and works as a devil hunter. Part 1 was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from December 2018 to December 2020. Part 2 has been serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+" since July 2022.
