The 113th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on September 3rd, and drew the attention of viewers as it depicted Takashi ( Takumi Kitamura) taking part in a manga competition.
In episode 113, Taka sees a page about a manga contest in a weekly magazine and, encouraged by Nobu (Imada), decides to enter the contest. Nobu says that it's more meaningful to draw the manga you want to draw than to focus on the results, but Taka confines himself to his workroom for days, saying, "Even someone like me has some pride." In front of a worried Nobu, Taka declares, "If this doesn't work out, I'll quit being a manga artist."
With the deadline approaching, Takashi is struggling to come up with a good idea. Meanwhile, when he sees Nobu vacuuming while wearing the hat that was a keepsake from his late father, Yutaro (Ryo Kase), Takashi mutters, "The hat is vacuuming..." and asks, "Why are you vacuuming while wearing a hat?"
Nobu replies, "I always make wishes to my dad," and Taka tells Nobu to keep the hat on, "Just like that, just like that," and then he seems to have thought of something, saying, "That's right. I've never been able to figure out what the main character looks like. Whenever I try to write it, it becomes blurry and I can't make it out. But maybe that's okay. What comes to mind in my head is a man whose identity is unknown."
"I don't need a face, I don't need a name. I don't need a nationality. It's okay to be alone. It's okay to be alone... Who am I? I don't know who I am. But maybe that's okay. My name, my name... something, something. It's written as so-and-so... It's 'Mr. Boo'... 'Mr. Boo'!" He spoke and ran straight into his workspace. Taka began to run his pencil over the manuscript, muttering, "Here he comes, here he comes..."
Then, on the morning of the deadline, Taka successfully completes the manuscript and completes "Mr. Boh," the work that he is putting his life as a manga artist on the line for. "Today is the deadline, so I'll go deliver it," Taka says, and Nobu sees him off as he leaves the house.
Comments on social media included, "Taka has awakened!", "He's in the zone," "The plot twist of the long, long hat is resolved," "The moment Mr. Boo was born," "Mr. Boo was born from the hat. I feel like we're finally seeing Taka as a manga artist," "Taka is finally motivated!" and "So this is how he connects the hats that have appeared so many times before."
