The 112th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and other times), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on September 2nd, and viewers were drawn to the interaction between Ranko ( Yuumi Kawai) and Yagi (Satoshi Tsumabuki).
Ranko moves into the apartment below where Nobu (Imada) and Takashi (Takumi Kitamura) live. One day, Yagi comes to visit Ranko's room. Yagi says he's come to deliver a magazine with Ranko's advertisement in it, and says, "I thought you'd come to pick it up, so I waited around, but you never showed up."
Worried about what the neighbors might think, Ranko invited Yagi into her room and apologized, saying, "Please come in. It's in this state. I'm moving tomorrow. I'm sorry I can't even offer you tea." Yagi replied, "I'll excuse myself at a time like this," and went into the room.
Yagi tells Ranko that the promotional copy she wrote was well-received, and that both Kasuya (Tanaka Shunsuke) and Akira (Saito Tomoaki) have also said they would like to ask Ranko for help. However, Ranko replies, "I appreciate it, but I've agreed to write another movie introduction article..." to which Yagi replies, "Are you that busy?"
Yagi asks, "Is there anything I can help you with with the move?" and looks around the room, where he notices a traditional Japanese handkerchief hanging on the wall, a keepsake from Go (Kanata Hosoda). Ranko hands him a jar of jam and says, "I bought this a long time ago, but I just can't open it." Yagi struggles to open the jar, and asks, "Anything else?" Ranko bows and says, "It's okay. Thank you," and Yagi says, "Well then," and leaves the room.
It's pouring outside. Ranko chases after Yagi and hands him her umbrella, saying, "Please use this." Yagi worries, saying, "You'll get wet, won't you?" but Ranko replies, "It's okay," and Yagi takes Ranko's hand, which is holding the umbrella, and asks, "Okay, I'll borrow it, but when are you going to work next time?" Ranko, with a confused look on her face, replies, "I... I'm not going to work anymore, Yagi-san." Ranko stares silently at Yagi's face as he asks, "Why?" Yagi says with a sad expression, "Don't say that." The two stare at each other in silence, and then the camera cuts to an aerial shot, showing the bright red umbrellas they are holding.
Comments on social media included, "Wow! It's like a melodrama," "It suddenly takes on the atmosphere of an adult love story," "It's a completely different drama, which is great (a wobbly drama)," "The usually calm Yagi is a little flustered now, this is what adult love feels like lol," "Ranko and Yagi are so sexy," "Stimulating right from the morning..." and "I'm excited to find out what happened under the umbrella."
