Nishikigoi makes first appearance in "Doraemon"

It has been announced that comedy duo Nishikigoi's Masaki Hasegawa and Takashi Watanabe will be appearing in the " Doraemon Birthday Special" of the popular anime series " Doraemon " (TV Asahi), which will air from 6:56 PM on September 6th. This will be Nishikigoi's first appearance in a " Doraemon" series. In the original episode "Treasure of the Castle in the Sky! ~Legend of the True Hero~," set in the world of the film, Hasegawa will play Dr. Peke, the villain in the spy film that Shizuka infiltrates and the boss of a mysterious secret society, while Watanabe will play a silent bodyguard in the world of the period drama that Gian has infiltrated.

The two members of Nishikigoi are big fans of Doraemon, and Hasegawa revealed his long-standing attachment to the character, saying, "My love for Doraemon was so strong that when I was a child, I lined up the Doraemon manga on my bookshelf and decorated it with dorayaki." Watanabe also commented, "When I was a child, I also considered Doraemon to be my best friend!", so he was delighted with the offer.

Hasegawa commented, "I felt like I was on cloud nine when I was able to enter the world of Doraemon, which I've watched since I was a child!", while Watanabe commented, "I still can't believe this was a prank..." as they nervously took on the dubbing. Hasegawa struggled, saying, "At first I didn't know what to do, and for a moment smoke came out of my ears!", but Watanabe said, "What I realized after doing the dubbing was that it's not just about adding a voice. If you don't move in sync with the images, you can't get the voice to come out. I learned how difficult it is to be a voice actor," and they both completed the job with sincerity.

Regarding the highlights of the "Birthday Special," Hasegawa commented, "Doraemon and his friends are the main characters of the movie. "Doraemon Birthday Special" is broadcast every year to celebrate Doraemon's birthday (September 3, 2112). This year, an original story set in the world of the movie, "Treasure of the Castle in the Sky! ~Legend of the True Hero~," will be broadcast.
