"Aoashi" comic final volume release commemorative PV released

The 40th and final volume of Aoashi, a soccer manga by Yugo Kobayashi that was serialized in Weekly Big Comic Spirits (Shogakukan), was released on August 29th. To commemorate the release of the final volume, a promotional video looking back on the characters' growth was released on YouTube. The narration is provided by voice actor Koki Osuzu, who plays the main character Aoi Ashito in the anime.

"Aoashi" is a manga about the youth age group of the J.League. It follows the growth of the protagonist, Asito, who becomes a member of a prestigious youth team after being selected. The series began serialization in "Big Comic Spirits" in 2015, and the final episode aired in June 2025, bringing the curtain down on a roughly 10-year run. The comic has sold over 24 million copies in total.

The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2022. There is also talk that the second season will air in 2026.
