TV Tokyo's popular information variety program, "Shutsugen! Ad Machikku Tengoku" (Saturdays at 9 PM), will feature Iriya Kishimojin in Taito Ward, Tokyo, in its July 4th broadcast.
Iriya is a downtown area surrounded by Ueno and Asakusa, where the atmosphere of the Showa era remains. The Iriya Morning Glory Festival will be held for three days from July 6th. The program will feature scenes of downtown life such as gardening in back alleys and gossiping by the well, as well as a retro cafe's famous pudding piled high with whipped cream, a bean confectionary shop established in the Meiji era that was loved by the literary giant Natsume Soseki, and a Showa-era Chinese restaurant with a pink interior.
Furthermore, the show will feature their signature bread, "Ilya-sienne," a comparison of top-quality brand eels, and a loin ham that has been recognized by Michelin-starred French restaurants. It will also highlight a local factory where a letter from Inocchi is considered a treasured possession.
The guests were TV personality Seiichi Ito and actress Yuika Motokariya.
