NHK "100 Years of Broadcasting: Famous Sports:Looking back at the pre-war Olympics, the "big comebacks" and secret stories, including the first "pinch-hit comeback, walk-off grand slam, championship-deciding home run" in professional baseball history!

NHK's program "100 Years of Broadcasting: Famous Sports Scenes - Midsummer Great Comeback Special" (General), which looks back on famous sports scenes from the past 100 years with the theme of "great comebacks," will be broadcast from 7:30 p.m. on August 21st.

This program is the second in the "100 Years of Broadcasting: Famous Sports Scenes" series. Before the war, Japan won its first Olympic gold medal in the triple jump, and behind the scenes, was a surprising drama. Also appearing is a former Kintetsu legend who hit the first pinch-hit, walk-off, grand slam home run to decide the championship in professional baseball history. Furthermore, in rugby, we interview a world superstar who scored a legendary try.
