It has been announced that the film "Higuma!!," starring actor Fuku Suzuki, will be released on November 21st. The film will be written and directed by Eisuke Naito, known for films such as "Misumisou" (2018) and "Forgiven Children" (2020). A teaser visual and a Teaser trailer have also been released.
The teaser visual features a ferocious-looking brown bear and the ominous tagline, "Dark Part-time Job vs. Brown Bear." The story and Suzuki's role have yet to be announced, but the furigana reading for "Dark Part-time Job" reads "Fuku Suzuki."
The trailer features Suzuki singing a parody of the children's song "The Bear in the Forest." The lyrics gradually become more ominous, and the cheerful singing voice gradually turns into a scream.
Suzuki introduced the film by saying, "The title 'Brown Bear!!' and the keywords 'illegal part-time job vs. brown bear' have a huge impact on this work, and I was excited to see what would happen even before filming began, but I think we've created an incredible piece of work!" He continued, "I was delighted to be able to work with Director Naito, who was so impressed by 'Misumisou,' and every day of filming I felt the joy of filmmaking. I hope you'll look forward to the confrontation between the protagonist, who lives in the modern day, and the brown bear, who is not an exaggeration to say is the other protagonist!!"
Director Naito commented, "When I answered, 'It's a movie about Fuku-kun doing an shady part-time job and getting attacked by a brown bear,' people who asked about his next project lit up with a mixture of confusion and anticipation as they said, 'Huh? Why?', 'That's amazing,' and 'I don't get it, but it sounds great.' I'm confident that the excitement created by ' Fuku Suzuki x brown bear' will strike a chord with everyone, so I've packed it all in to finish it without leaving anything out. I hope you will enjoy it."
