The fourth episode of the TV drama "Broadcasting Station Occupy" (Nippon TV, Saturdays at 9pm), starring Sakurai Sho, was broadcast on August 2nd, revealing the true identity of Karakasa Kozo.
◇The following contains spoilers.
The drama is the third installment of the "Occupation Series," in which Sakurai plays the hot-blooded detective Musashi. The story is set one year after the previous film, "Occupation of the New Airport."
In the fourth episode, Musashi tries to find out the connection between the armed group of spirits who have taken over the TV station and the blue demon Yamato Koichi (Fuma Kikuchi), but he falls into the spirit's trap and is in danger of being poisoned to death. If the poison is not removed from Musashi's body within 90 minutes, he will die.
Hannya laughs at the impatient Musashi and demands that he expose the dark side of one of the hostages, the current Tokyo governor, Oshiba Sanshiro (Mayama Akishi), as a condition for saving Musashi's life. If they don't do it in time, not only will Musashi die of poisoning, but Oshiba will also die from a shattered skull. Honjo (Kumi Takiuchi) and other members of the on-site command headquarters investigate Oshiba's past and discover a "murder incident" that occurred one year ago.
The crime of Tokyo Governor Oshiba was the murder of his secretary, Ogasawara Nene, who tried to expose the government's collusion with a construction company. The true identity of the demon Karakasa Kozo was Nene's husband, Ogasawara Genta (Taro Suruga). Furthermore, it was discovered that TV station director Hinode (Kameda Yoshiaki) had been trying to cover up Oshiba's crime. Musashi sets out to expose Hinode's dark side.
Meanwhile, Yuko (Manami Higa) is ordered to treat the demon Gashadokuro (Himari Hitomi), who was stabbed by a hostage, and does her best with the limited surgical tools she has. Meanwhile, Ibuki (Kato Seishiro), whose life is threatened by the underworld hitman "Nopperabo", is shocked to learn Nopperabo's true identity. Meanwhile, Oshiba dies, saying, "A puppeteer is controlling everything."
◇ Comment from Taro Suruga
I, Suruga Taro, am playing Ogasawara Genta, also known as Taro Suruga. I am happy to be able to take part in this popular series. I have heard people speculating about what it would be like before the mask was removed, and it made me realise that my chin was so distinctive (laughs). The story progresses at a good pace, and I think it will make you think about the melancholy of the demons, as well as what justice is. I hope you enjoy it until the very end.
