It has been revealed that Pierrot (Mitaka, Tokyo), an animation production company known for anime such as "Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel Mami" and "NARUTO", will change its name to Studio Pierrot on August 1st.
Since its founding in 1979, the company has planned and produced numerous anime. Studio Pierrot has been a familiar name for the production brand.
The company stated, "In recent years, the anime industry has been in the midst of major change, with studio acquisitions and restructuring progressing. In this climate, we have returned to our founding spirit and, under the name of Studio Pierrot, all of our employees have reaffirmed their resolve to work together to create works of even higher quality. This year marks the 46th anniversary of our founding. With gratitude in our hearts to all those who have supported us until now, we will continue to create works that inspire people all over the world with the same passion and spirit of challenge."
