The 28th episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , titled "Sano Seshou Daimyojin", was broadcast on July 27th, and viewers were drawn to the words and actions of Ikenaga (Watanabe Ken), who has lost his eldest son, Okitsugu ( Hio Miyazawa ).
"UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama, depicting the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have built the foundations of Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, known for "Drama 10 'Ooku'" which was broadcast on NHK two years ago and became a big hit.
In episode 28, Ichi is slashed by Sano Masayoshi (Yamoto Yuma) inside the castle, losing his life before he can achieve his goal, and Masayoshi also commits seppuku.
Later, while Tsutaju (Yokohama) and others are watching the funeral procession of Ichi through the city, a stone is suddenly thrown, causing chaos, and Daresode (Haruka Fukuhara) runs to protect the coffin. Seeing the haggard and exhausted Daresode, Tsutaju begins to think of a way to clear up the regrets of the late Ichi.
Eventually, Okitsugu decides to avenge his master, and puts Okinobu's hair on his chest. He goes up to Edo Castle and declares in front of Ieharu (Hidekazu Mashima) that he will take Okinobu's place and accomplish the rice price and the proclamation of the Emishi. "I want to show you," he says.
Later, Okitsugu encounters Jisei (Ikuta Toma) inside the castle. He interrupts Jisei's words of condolence, saying, "You have nothing to lose." He places his hand on his chest and says, "He is here," and smiles, "He has become someone who cannot be defeated by poison or blades again. In the name of ambition. Ambition is invincible. Even if I lose my body, he will continue to live. Now he is inside me. Even if I lose my body, he will continue to live inside someone else. There is no way to lose him anymore."
At this point, Okitsugu bows his head and says, "Well then," and prepares to leave, but just then, he approaches Jisei from behind. With a menacing look on his face, he puts his hands around Jisei's neck and declares war, saying, "I have a mountain of things I must do."
On social media, viewers seemed to have relieved themselves somewhat with comments such as, "Okitsugu has an invincible look," "Is he carrying out his son's will? Lord Tanuma is strong...," "It's so cool how Lord Tanuma isn't intimidated by Jisei," "Okitsugu...cool. Hitotsubashi must have felt a chill down his neck," and "I think he's finally managed to get a point out of Hitotsubashi..." Furthermore, comments such as, "Ken-san is so cool. His lines are electrifying," "Tanuma Okitsugu surpasses his opponents with his spirit and determination. As expected of Ken Watanabe," "Ikuta Ken Watanabe's power," "Ken Watanabe is amazing," and "Just as you'd expect from the world-famous Ken Watanabe!" were also posted.
