87-year-old actor Fuji Manami will appear with her daughter, writer Iwasaki Liz, on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on July 28th.
Fuji-san said that he had lived with Nobuyo Oyama, the famous voice actress of "Doraemon" who passed away last year at the age of 90, for a while when he was young. They were still poor at the time, and they would wash each other's backs at the public bath. Liz-san also said that she has memories of Oyama taking her to "Doraemon" movies and playing with her when she was a child.
He had a tough time at the end of last year when he was hospitalized. He gave Kuroyanagi a pair of leather gloves that he had bought for her in Italy 60 years later.
