The second episode of the TV drama series "Broadcasting Station Occupy" (Nippon TV, Saturday 9pm) starring Sakurai Sho was broadcast on July 19th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 4.7% for households and 2.9% for individuals.
The drama is the third installment of the "Occupation Series," in which Sakurai plays the hot-blooded detective Musashi Saburo, and is set one year after the previous film, "New Airport Occupation."
The "Occupation Series" began with "Hospital Occupation," set in a huge hospital occupied by a mysterious armed group, and was broadcast in 2023. A sequel, "New Airport Occupation," set in a newly completed airport, was broadcast in 2024. In this episode, Musashi, a detective in the Kanagawa Prefectural Police First Investigative Division's Violent Crimes Unit, is transferred to the Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division's Hostage Crime Task Force (BCCT), but gets caught up in another occupancy incident and begins an investigation with new allies.
In the second episode, an investigator is shot and undergoes emergency surgery. The identity of the armed group may be revealed.
