The 80th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and others), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on July 18th, and viewers were drawn to the final line, "Hoitara ne."
In the 80th episode, during the funeral of Kamaji ( Kotaro Yoshida), "Yam-onchan" Kusakichi (Sadao Abe) appears for the first time in six years. Shocked by Kamaji's death, Kusakichi looks at the portrait of the deceased and says with regret, "That's terrible." Nobu (Imada) and the others ask to eat the hot bean-jam Anpan baked by Kusakichi for the first time in a long time, but Kusakichi tells them to "give up" because the sake yeast has gone bad during the journey. That night, Kusakichi touches the stone oven made by Kamaji and bows deeply. The next morning, Kusakichi has disappeared.
At the end of the episode, Kusakichi returns to the Asada family, saying, "The sake and ingredients are different, so I can't guarantee the taste," and serves them freshly baked "anpan Anpan," saying, "Come on, come on, this is anpan in memory of Anpan." Nobuya Takashi (Takumi Kitamura) and the Asada family smiled as they ate Kusakichi's bread for the first time in a long time.
The final scene shows bread baked by Kusakichi being offered at Kamatsuri's Buddhist altar, with a smiling portrait of the deceased and Kamatsuri's gentle narration of "Hoitara ne".
