TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Apparition! Ad Town Heaven" (Saturday 9pm) will feature Shakujii Park in Nerima Ward, Tokyo on its July 19th broadcast.
Shakujii Park, rich in nature and also known as a "summer resort in the city," also has an atmosphere reminiscent of the upscale residential areas of Beverly Hills. The program will feature gourmet spots such as a teahouse by the pond where you can drink during the day, a "Musashino Udon" specialty store in the cultural center next to the park, the birthplace of the super spicy cup noodle "Kara Kara Sakana Ramen," the world's number one owner of "STG" Neapolitan pizza, and a famous sweets store that a chocolate master secretly visited.
The program will also introduce a takigi-noh performance by a Living National Treasure Kyogen performer in the great outdoors, and a workshop for Edo-style brushes, a favorite of calligrapher Takeda Soun. The floating island in the center of the pond in Shakujii Park, where a plant community designated as a national natural monument grows, is open to the public only twice a year, and rare footage of this event will also be shown.
The guests are Hanawa Nobuyuki from the comedy duo "Knights" and freelance announcer Uga Natsumi.
