It has been announced that the second series of the TV anime "Science x Adventure Survival!", based on the popular educational manga series "Science Manga Survival" (published by Asahi Shimbun Publications), will be broadcast on NHK Educational TV every Saturday at 6:25 pm starting October 4th. A key visual featuring survival expert Geo and other characters has also been released. The visual is accompanied by the copy "I'll definitely survive!"
In the second series, Geo and his friends will explore seven worlds, surviving water shortages, huge earthquakes, tidal flats, mountains, night safaris, the moon, and rising sea levels.
The "Science Manga Survival" series is a popular educational manga with a total circulation of approximately 14.5 million copies in Japan and approximately 35 million copies worldwide. It explains science while depicting Geo and his friends as they overcome difficulties. The latest volumes of the series, "Survival in an AI Robot World 2" and "Survival of Dangers All Around Us," will be released simultaneously on July 18th. "Survival in an AI Robot World 2" will come with a special limited edition supplement of a "Finger Skateboard" that allows you to skate with your fingers.
The first animated film, "Survival of the Human Body!", was released in 2020, and the second, "Survival in the Deep Sea!", was released in 2021. The first series of the anime was broadcast on NHK Educational TV from October 2024 to March 2025. The first series is currently being rebroadcast on NHK Educational TV every Wednesday at 7 pm.
